Around Town, Week 2



Albany worker Brad Wilkerson waters plants while on the job on September 29, 2022. An employee of Sully's Doggy Daycare, Wilkerson has been employed for the company for 18 months and hopes to continue assisting animals for the foreseeable future. A typical day on the job includes feeding the animals, keeping them company and taking them on walks while also cleaning the offices and maintaining the grounds. In his ambitions to keep the property appealing to customers, he says that he maintains the grounds at least once a week.


A local Albany driver passes by in a blue truck on Thursday, September 29, 2022. While stopping at the intersection the driver, Alan, said he was heading towards the I-5 highway to Salem to his brother's house, hoping to enjoy a family get-together and a nice dinner.


 

Linn-Benton Community College student Maria Cervantes studies in the campus courtyard on Thursday, October 29, 2022. In her second year at LBCC, Maria says that she hopes to graduate this year with an associate degree in biology and then head to Oregon State University to complete her master's degree. While normally doing her studying at home, Maria occasionally makes use the campus grounds for studying, especially in good weather.
